Aquatec attending the 16th Pacific Water Conference & Expo and 9th Pacific Water Ministerial Forum in Honiara, Solomon Islands,

Notes and thoughts from the 16th Pacific Water and Wastewater Conference and Expo

Company Update | 23 Sep 2025

This year marked Aquatec’s fourth Pacific Water and Wastewater Conference. Each year brings inspiration from the Pacific Island Nations’ visionary leadership and commitment to sustainable water management.

Over the past decade, Aquatec has been providing expertise and innovative solutions to the Pacific’s water challenges, and supporting local communities.

Ivan Reolon, Executive Strategy & Growth, attended the 16th Pacific Water Conference & Expo and 9th Pacific Water Ministerial Forum in Honiara, Solomon Islands, and he shared some of his reflections:

  • The conference was well-attended, drawing 200 delegates, representing over 15 Pacific Nations, and featuring great sponsors and exhibitors.
  • A significant milestone was witnessed: the formal signing and launch of the Pacific Water Knowledge Exchange & Partnership Program. The signatories – Pacific Water and Wastewater Association (PWWA), the Australian Water Association, and the Asian Development Bank – will work together to strengthen the operational and climate resilience capacity of Pacific water utilities through technical exchanges, study tours, and online learning.
  • Common threads throughout discussions with Pacific Water Utility leaders and operators referred to the advantages of Modern Methods of Construction, Modularity, and Standardisation in reducing labour and heavy equipment on site to provide water and wastewater infrastructure that addresses the Pacific Nation’s unique needs.

We are committed to continuing our collaboration with water utilities, developers, and communities in the Pacific Island Nations to provide Aquatec’s innovative water, wastewater, and water reuse products and to offer training to local operators, thereby creating more opportunities for growth and development.
