Aquatec Pressure Sewer Solutions - QM Properties

Banskia Beach Pressure Sewer System

QM Properties
Project location - Banksia Beach, Bribie Island, Queensland

Through our standardised and modular approach, the Banksia Beach project demonstrates how modern methods of construction can deliver infrastructure faster and more efficiently while integrating seamlessly into planned communities. The result is a streamlined delivery model that provides lasting value for developers, residents, and the environment.

Modern methods of construction deliver value to developers, residents, and the environment

Aquatec was appointed to deliver design, supply, construction, and maintenance services for select stages of the Banksia Beach residential project. By installing the pressure sewer tanks and reticulation before homes were built, the system became an integral part of each lot—allowing buyers to purchase land already serviced and ready for connection. This forward-thinking approach minimised disruption for future homeowners and gave the developer greater flexibility to unlock and release land sooner.

Post-installation support

Aquatec will continue to support the community through ongoing service and maintenance. By managing the maintenance of every installed system across the estate, we ensure reliable operation and responsive support for every homeowner. This commitment to long-term system reliability gives residents confidence that their pressure sewer system will be expertly maintained throughout its service life.

Pre-installed Pressure Sewer Systems enable low-impact growth and waterways protection on Bribie Island

The pre-installation of pressure sewer systems in Banksia Beach delivered substantial benefits for residents, developers, and the environment, while directly addressing the technical and logistical challenges unique to canal estates on the Island.

Location challenges

Installing pressure sewer systems before homeowners move in helped address the additional cost and complexity of connecting the Island to the mainland water and sewer networks. The modern pressure sewer system we installed has the capacity to pump wastewater over long distances and across the Island’s varied terrain.

Technical requirements

Banksia Beach’s canal estate design required a specialised sewage management solution. Aquatec’s pressure sewer automated pumps are designed to effectively manage variable groundwater levels and tidal water conditions, ensuring reliable collection and transfer of wastewater away from sensitive canal environments. Our systems also address odour control through the use of sealed tanks, active ventilation, and convenient maintenance access points.

Environmental ecosystem

Pre-installing pressure sewer infrastructure was crucial for protecting the nearby Pumicestone Channel and wetlands, areas recognised for their ecological significance. The system reduces the risk of leakage or overflow compared to conventional gravity systems, limiting nutrient and contaminant discharge into surrounding water bodies. The emergency storage vessel adds resilience for maintenance events and spill prevention.

Growth scalability

Rapid residential growth in Banksia Beach means scalable solutions are essential. The pre-installed pressure sewer system can be augmented to handle increased flows and new connections. This flexibility supports economic development and population growth, enabling planned expansions and upgrades to proceed in step with new construction.
