Working with our partner, JAYDO, we designed, delivered, and installed the new sewer pump station for the Yarra Valley Water Yuroke Pump Station project.
This network improvement was required to ensure that Greenvale’s increasing population has access to reliable sewer service and that a shortfall in the existing sewerage network is overcome. Greenvale’s population is forecast to almost double in the next two decades.
Jaydo chose to work with Aquatec due to our advanced manufacturing capabilities and proven track record of successful projects with Yarra Valley Water. These assured that the finished product would satisfy the water authority’s requirements.
The FRP pumping chamber we installed safeguards the biodiversity of Yuroke Creek and its adjacent water bodies. The environmentally conscious design minimises ecosystem disturbance whilst delivering crucial wastewater management capabilities.
Collaboration is at the heart of Aquatec’s values, and this project, initiated in 2016, demonstrates what we can achieve together with our clients. Working with Yarra Valley Water was essential to navigate the complex site and storage requirements due to the high groundwater table.

Advanced manufacturing capabilities
The solution included designing, manufacturing, transporting and installing one of our largest tank fit-outs:
- 1 x custom-designed filament-wound fibreglass pumping chamber in a controlled factory environment measuring 4m in diameter x 11.8m deep
- 1 x free-standing switchboard manufactured from 3mm marine aluminium with a powder-coated finish, including cubicles for power authority metering, RTU and Telemetry, power distribution, pump starters and battery
- One-piece cover slab to house the lids, switchboard cubicle, vent stacks and reduced pressure zone assembly
Filament winding enhances the strength and durability of infrastructure components due to the chemical and structural integrity of the manufactured tank.
By delivering the tank as a one-piece ready to install, minimising logistical challenges and site disruptions our team achieved significant time efficiencies.
