Aquatec's Concrete Pump Station Animation
Aquatec’s collaboration with Yarra Valley Water and JAYDO resulted in the successful delivery and installation of a state-of-the-art fibreglass pump station at the Yuroke site. Designed to meet exact project specifications, the 4-metre diameter, 11.8-metre deep filament-wound fibreglass pumping chamber was manufactured as a single-piece construction, ensuring superior durability and reliability across all ground conditions. This precision-engineered solution is built to withstand both internal and external loadings, providing long-term performance and efficiency.
As part of the project, Aquatec also supplied a free-standing switchboard, crafted from 3mm marine-grade aluminium with a powder-coated finish, incorporating power authority metering, RTU & telemetry, power distribution, pump starters, and battery backup.
The installation of the Yuroke Pump Station showcases the power of collaboration, with meticulous planning and execution at every stage to ensure a seamless outcome. Watching the system come together on-site is always a rewarding moment, reflecting the dedication and expertise of everyone involved. Aquatec is proud to partner with industry leaders like JAYDO and Yarra Valley Water to deliver innovative, high-performance water infrastructure solutions. This project highlights our ongoing commitment to engineering excellence, sustainability, and reliability in wastewater management.
Aquatec is proud to support North East Water in preparing for the expansion of the City of Wangaratta with the construction of a new sewer pump station and 930KL detention storage on Salisbury Street. In partnership with North East Civil Construction, Aquatec Melbourne designed and delivered some of our largest fibreglass storage vessels to help build essential infrastructure that will accommodate around 990 new homes in the city’s southern growth zones. The project featured a 2.25-metre diameter, 10.5-metre deep precast concrete sewer pump station, three massive 3.5-metre diameter, 33-metre-long fibreglass storage vessels, as well as an advanced electrical switchboard, flow meter pit, and air valve pit. These solutions ensure the efficient management of wastewater and support the city’s long-term growth.
The successful installation of this critical infrastructure highlights the importance of collaboration, engineering excellence, and long-term planning for sustainable urban growth. Our team worked closely with North East Civil Construction to ensure precision at every stage, from design to final installation. Watching these large-scale systems come together on-site is a testament to the expertise and dedication of everyone involved.
We are proud to contribute to the future of Wangaratta by delivering innovative, high-quality solutions, including Pump Stations, Pressure Sewer, Storage Vessels, and Water & Wastewater Reuse, that enhance wastewater management and support the city’s expanding community.
In response to the devastating 2022 floods in the Buller District, the Buller District Council | Te Kaunihera O Kawatiri established temporary housing in Westport to support displaced residents. Aquatec collaborated with Davis Ogilvie, Joseph & Associates, and WestReef Services to deliver a high-performance wastewater system, ensuring that 22 housing units remained connected to essential services. This system featured a duplex pressure sewer pump station and a 17,000L fibreglass sewer pump station, seamlessly transferring wastewater into the Council sewer network. Additionally, a 37,000L fibreglass storage vessel was installed to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
This project exemplifies the power of collaboration in delivering essential infrastructure during times of crisis. By designing, manufacturing, and implementing innovative wastewater solutions, Aquatec helped residents stay in their community while their homes were being repaired and rebuilt. The system’s durability and efficiency reflect our commitment to providing resilient, future-proof solutions, including Pump Stations, Pressure Sewer, Storage Vessels, and Water & Wastewater Reuse. This initiative not only supported immediate recovery efforts but also laid the groundwork for sustainable wastewater management in the region.

Yarra Valley Water - Yuroke Pump Station
